How to Dry Sludge/Dehydrate Sludge in a Dehydrator
Introduction to sludge:
Sludge is a solid precipitation material produced by the water and sewage treatment process. It is an extremely complex heterogeneous body composed of organic debris, bacterial cells, inorganic particles, and colloids. The main characteristics of sludge are high water content (up to 99% or more), high organic content, easy to decompose and smelly, fine particles, small specific gravity, and a colloidal liquid state. It is a thick substance between liquid and solid, which can be transported by pump, but it is difficult to separate solid and liquid by sedimentation.Sludge drying process:
1. The wet sludge with a moisture content of 60%-80% is crushed and extruded into a belt sludge drying box2. The wet sludge in the belt-type sludge drying box becomes dry sludge with a moisture content of less than 30% after heat exchange with the hot dry circulating air, and the hot dry circulating air becomes wet low-temperature circulating air
3. The wet low-temperature circulating air is sucked into the heat pump by the circulating fan, and blown from the circulating fan into the intermediate heat exchanger to exchange heat with the evaporated air to further reduce the temperature
4. The low-temperature circulating air after cooling is discharged from the intermediate heat exchanger, and then the temperature is lowered after passing through the water-cooled pre-cooling coil
5. The air discharged from the water-cooled pre-cooling coil passes through the evaporator to evaporate, and the temperature drops below the dew point, thus condensed water is precipitated
6. The evaporative outlet air passes through the intercooler and heat pump return air for heat exchange, and the outlet air temperature is increased and then enters the condenser
7. The circulating air is heated by the condenser and then becomes hot and dry circulating air enters the belt-type sludge oven to realize circulating treatment. Preferably, the temperature of the hot dry circulating air is 60°C-70°C, the humidity is below 20%, and the temperature of the wet low-temperature circulating air entering the heat pump after being processed by the belt sludge drying box is 50°C-60°C , The humidity is above 50%.

The moisture in the material is vaporized and evaporated by the form of hot air, and the evaporated water vapor is discharged by the moisture discharge system, thereby achieving the purpose of drying the drying material.
