How to dry konjac?
Konjac should not be eaten raw, it needs to be processed and eaten. By using the heat generated by burning anthracite in the stove and the continuous high temperature, the moisture contained in konjac chips, strips, and corners are volatilized, and the water content is reduced so that the water content of fresh konjac is reduced from 80%-85% to below 15%.
Different konjac thicknesses will have different dehydrating times, more thinner, the dehydrating time will be shorter. The dried konjac slices will retain moisture when they are in direct contact with the air, so a sealed package is required. If you use vacuum packaging, you can better preserve the color and aroma of konjac slices.
There are five steps here:
1. First, select high-quality konjac and then slice them evenly.
2. Second, put them on the tray and keep a small distance from each other can not overlap.
3. Third, put them into the drying machine and set the target temperature at 50 degrees C to fixing.
4. Finally, when finishing the third step we can increase the temperature at 60 degrees and continue to dry.
5. After 10 hours will finish the drying process.
How to dry konjac in large quantity?
The water content of fresh konjac is generally 80%-85%. The fresh konjac is large in size and crisp in nature. It is easy to be damaged due to moving, friction, and collision during transportation, which leads to deterioration, decay, and corruption and is not resistant to storage.
