How to Dry Ginger/Dehydrate Ginger in a Dehydrator
Introduction to ginger：
Ginger likes a warm and humid climate, and its ability to withstand cold and drought is weak. The plant can only grow in a frost-free period. The most suitable temperature for growth is 25℃-28℃. If the temperature is lower than 20℃, the germination will be slow, and the plant will wither when frost is exposed to frost. The rhizomes completely lose their ability to germinate.
Ginger drying process：
The single batch of ginger is heavy in weight. Generally, it is sliced by a slicer after cleaning. The thickness is about 3 to 5 mm. Then it is loaded into the material tray and pushed into the drying room. Two 12P hosts are equipped with 11.5 meters long and 4 meters long. The wide and 2.2-meter-high drying room has 18 material trucks each time, each can put 300 kg of ginger slices, and a total of 5400 kg of fresh turmeric slices can be put in a batch. The water content of turmeric slices is large, and the system needs to be configured on each side. 2 fresh air valves, the temperature is increased from 55C, and the total drying time for each batch is 22 hours.
